fundraising event

Special Occasions
We have received many donations as a result of supporters who have chosen to ask their friends and famlies to donate to the charity rather than to give them presents for some special occasion. This is a lovely opportunity for those of us who have all we need to give to those who have so little. Birthdays, anniversaries and retirements are frequent occasions from which we recive donations. Over £4,000 was raised from a wedding which provided a village water reservoir. A growing number of supporters are donating the money they would have spent on Christmas Cards.

funding events

Why not run a fund raising event for the charity. Over the years our supporters have found all sorts of ways to do this and have fun at the same time. Some like to organise events that reflect things that they like to do. These have included fetes and garden parties, barbecues and many other catering events, barn dances, belly dancing, and all sorts of musical events.

Others prefer to get their friends and families to sponsor them. They pick events that they have always wanted to do and have great fun and derive much satisfaction in carrying them out.
People have jumped out of an aircraft, run marathons, ridden round the motor bike TT course, walked the Andes, swum, fasted, slimmed, and white water rafted.

We have gained a lot of experience over the years so if you are thinking of doing something like this contact Murray Frankland on 0116 2766439.
