This highly successful scheme was launched in 2002 and now has nearly two hundred sponsors. For a minimum of £12 per month you can sponsor a child and recive a photo and details of the child, his or her family and community. Twice a year you will receive a letter or drawing from the child and information on the progress the child is making. You will also receive information on how your money is benefiting the lives of children within the sponsorship villages. Many sponsors write to the child they sponsor and some have met them as part of a visit to SCAD.
As a result of the scheme SCAD implements a number of integrated programmes in the villages where the sponsored children live which improves the standard of life for all children of all ages. This includes health and education initiatives, water generation and environmental protection. |
