About us - boys

Salt of the Earth is a successful and unusual charity founded in 1988. It is run entirely by volunteers who pay all the expenses themselves thus enabling every penny donated to be sent direct to its partner organisation in Tamil Nadu, India, Social Change and Development (SCAD).This remarkable organisation works with the rural poor, the disadvantaged and the neglected in 500 villages covering a population of over 400,000. Over the years Salt of the Earth has built up a very special relationship with SCAD, founded on mutual trust and respect and it is committed to supporting the work of SCAD in the long term.
